Schwinn Mesa Runner - Fix up or part out?

I was given this Mesa Runner recently and cant decide what to do with it. Mechanically it is all there and everything works well. All it would take to get it running is a seat and some tires. The paint is pretty bad. Lots of scratches and it has been left outside. Im not sure it is worth putting the money into it as I ultimatly want to get rid of it. Other option is to part it out but Im not really sure if there is a demand for Schwinn parts of this era.

Personally with those MX brakes and all I'd klunker it.

Perfect flipper candidate.

If it were mine, I'd put a used seat on it, lube the chain if it's not too stiff (replace it, maybe),

wash it and wax it with some of RR's "Texas Water", and put it up on Craigs List.

Only question I'd have would be whether or not to replace the tires.

Sell for $100 with new tires, or $75 with old tires.

Put the money you make into something you really want.
