Hey guys got a question for ya I recently bought another bike for the girl friend, I haven't received it yet and previous owner is can't read the serial number but it has a new world headbadge when did they use these heasbadges?

Thanks guys
Ty

The New World was first produced in 1938 and the name was used until the mid-fifties I believe. It should have the small round headbadge? Just depending on where the serial is, it could be determined as an earlier or later bicycle. I have two '41s.

I once owned a 28" Schwinn that was a late 20's or early 30's and it had that badge. I also presently have a girls Schwinn Panther from '54 and it has that badge. Gary

"The world" is different from "new world". The New world was a lightweight. The location of the serial as well as ID from photos of the whole bike might be able to date within a few years. Schwinn had a number of models with the name world so its a little confusing. "World" "World sport" "World racer" "New world" "The world" "world traveler" "world tourist" "world voyager".

I just picked up a 41' DX with the same badge:
