Traded an hour of my time for this Schwinn OCC Sting Ray. I was just going to give the time up for nothing, it was a buddy you see.
I kept talking about bikes the whole time and the guy said "look here " "just take this away". YES! I want to use the fork later on a 26!
Anyone used one of these fork sets with a balloon 26 frame? Looks like it could be cut to fit anything? In the mean time I will clean it up and ride it I suppose....the tires have air. Really not sure of exactly what to do with it?

Sweet find  I put those forks on my build off bike :) It is a 26" frame with a 24" wheel 8)

Where are you located, I can think of a few of us who might want that rear wheel/tire for some special projects (see signature).

That's what my minds eye was trying to see... how it all lines up. Really cool easy rider u got urself! I've just put a 26 front w/ a big apple on that fork to see how she rolls. Seems to fit well and could handle a huge tire. How would one shorten the steering tube to fit this fork to frames with the shorter headsets?

I'm in Texas but I ship out with no problem... just might part this out in a few days so I will pm u before I run the ad.
I would have everything but the fork, kickstand and pedals to sell.

Didn't u just find one a few weeks back for cheap too?

Just looked on craig's.... People want WAY too much for these things down here. Glad I got It for what I did!

People "want" way too much for them, but from what I see, nobody is getting what they want for them. I'm not saying this to try to lower your price for me, but just saying, people are asking too much for these and seem to be dropping their ads and holding the bikes. I gave $20 for one and $15 for the other, the $20 one was in really good condition.

I was going to shorten and use the fork for my motorized bike but I don't like the way it's raked out in the triple, so I plan to use the fork off the mini version, I don't think it has the raked out triple like the big one.

The only reason I'm still keeping my eyes open for them is that someone gave me a really sweet 16" motorcycle street tire and I might make a custom chopper, will only need the rear wheel, would keep the spare tire for my Sand Rover.

A good buy for a clean one is 20 and not much more in my mind. I'm sure a lot of them sit priced over 100. And sit. And sit. And..
Dallas craigs is what I looked at. Go Figure.
I'm reasonable but still Gonna ride it for a day or two. Sits very different compared to what I usually ride.
This is crazy:

There are some that repeatedly show up on eBay in the $500 range, then go away and come back, just waiting for the right sucker to discover eBay.

For all the people saying these are rare, they must not shop in Walmart, but I remember there never being a shortage of them when they were for sale there, and even remember seeing spare tubes and tires available in store (and on clearance... before I cared! haha). Now multiply that by the number of Walmarts and...

Here is another example of what you can do with the back ends of these with 16" motorcycle tires.
There are a few other builds going on with these that are still choppers too.
