I found this sad Schwinn at the local pawn shop. I believe it's a late 70's model but the serial number on the head was ground off so it was likely stolen at some point.
Job #1 is to get rid of the fingernail polish/lipstiick fuschia purple paint.
I'm ususally a "leave them stock" guy but since this one's already shot, and is a mix and match of parts, I don't feel bad changing it up.
One interesting thing is it had a good set of the Carlisle Lighthing chain pattern tires. They will likely end up in eBay.
I'm thinking either a military drab green or strip off all of the paint and let it rust.
I like the '40's look so I'm thinking either WW2 Army surplus look or a yard-find rescued rusto-relic.
Give me some ideas and input.
