Schwinn Phantom 1953

Ohhhhh we picked the bike up this morning expecting a repo phantom ...so was well chuffed to find the chassis number tallied up to a September 1953 bike
Put some air in the tires and went for a first trip put ,
Apart from a few squeaks she went lovely

The original plan was to Put a set of chrome 100 spoke wheels and White balloon tires and leave the rest
But
she might just stay as she is ( you can't fake that patina )

Yup ! Thats a Re-pop ! :roll: , just pullin your Brake levers :lol: ,, That bike ther., in that condition is just about as good as finding one in new condition, it has all the good parts and is all intact !Great find Weather you restore or leave as is ? that thing is Awesome .

I agree with all comments! For me it would have to stay this way maybe try and cut the surface rust off as best as can be done and enjoy!
