As the owner of a few nicer type Schwinns myself, I would say, CUT IT, do whatever you want to it, just use, ride it!! Too many bikes out there never get ridden, never even get sat on, never see the light of day, etc...

Wow kev u sparked old memories, My first schwinn was an 80's schwinn predator bmx bike. .I learned to skid on that bad boy, I prob went through fortey tires that summer.. Hah memories... Ill tell yall bout the nightmare i had when i learnt 2 ride that thing.. Wow.
