OK this is takin' way to long :lol:
i wanted to make this bike look agressive & mean but something happened this weekend that made me change my mind.
this front end is goin bye-bye

i picked up a '72 schwinn world traveler from CL sat morning. i bought it just for parts for another bike, but the more i looked at them i decided that this bike really needed them. didnt take a picture before i tore it down but the bar was as badly corroded as the stem.
got some 1000 grit wet sandpaper and went at it and buffed & polished w/ mothers. they look good now.
from this angle the bar looks pretty plain, but believe me it is swoopy & sexy!

finished this up last week. well, it was done before, but the seat showed up last weekend.
the curvy bar made me think of jayne mansfield :wink:
i just need a sunny day for a ride & better pix.
