'52 Panther I found on craigslist. It was a BF Goodrich badged bike, so I decided to refurbish it. Getting paint this week!

Gift from a friend . Haven't picked it up yet. I don't plan on changing much. Probably just rust removal, new pedals & tires & Chain and perhaps a sprung Brooks leather saddle.

Definitely keeping the bag hangers @LukeTheJoker . I delivered papers on a Stingray with baghangers.

Use CLR with warm water.. If you use a scuff pad you will need to clear over it so it will seal it and keep it from rusting again.. Plus it will brighten up the color also.. You can go full gloss or satin finish on the clear coat..
By the way.. Nice of your friend to hand you down a kool cruiser.!!

Thanks @Araya51 . I'll try the CLR. Yep I'm definitely lucky to get this bike. My friend got it for free from another friend and was already restoring another bike. Plus he kinda owed me for that mint condition Typhoon which got stolen when I let him borrow it 15 yrs ago. (Not that I was holding a grudge or anything)

Just my opinion, but it doesn't look bad as it sits. Try a wd-40 bath first. You might be surprised! Love the bike!

Tried the WD-40 bath as suggested by @Pedal_junky .
Then cleaned with citrus degreaser & then coated it with 2 coats of Meguiers cleaner wax.
