Schwinn Typhoon 20 inch

I picked up this 74' Schwinn Typhoon boys 20 inch for $20. As far as I can tell the seat, wheels, and tires were original. If they are not, any help would be appreciated!

Fenders should be easy enough to find. I might have a correct set if you want some and can't find them locally.

nice find. i have the same bike, very close to the same condition. i had to buy a set of fenders and grips for it, but have not yet cleaned it up. yours looks like it has all of the original parts(minus fenders), it should have westwinds.

i have the same bike, but mines not so typhoon anymore. :lol: look at the red 20" at the front. it started out just like that. i mean, exactly like that. then my friend trashed it and jacked up the paint and evrything else.

What you do you guys think it is worth totally restored? Would you repaint it, matching the color exactly?

IMO it's worth more just cleaned and lubed. It's only original once, as someone here likes to say. Oh, and please move the white wheel reflector from the back to the front, throw the 2 on there now away. I wouldn't expect it to get more than 75 bucks, even if near perfect. As is, the 20 you paid was a good deal, though.
