This is a 2012 model. I finally found one in a large size. The prices have been going up and down for the last year or so, and I finally bit the bullet. Buy it when you see it. I have a rusty 63 racer with a kickback hub, similar geometry and design. The Willy is a new and shiny, smooth and lean rider.

Very nice,I had no idea they were making these.
Schwinn isn't making this model any longer, 2012 was last year. The Performance Bike stores seem to still have a few random sizes as a close out. I love the simplicity but with some modern touches.

... I love the simplicity but with some modern touches....

That is what I like about it too . Something about that one that gets my attention.

Thought I might do a comparison of the 2012 Willy with a 63 Racer. The Schwinn Willy has 700c tires and the Schwinn Racer has 26" tires. They both have similar geometry but different frame sizes.
The 63 was a garage sale find, it has it's original grime in place on what appear to be original parts. It has served duty as a kido rider, host for a bunch of LED Christmas lights, yard art along with trekking to and from several swap meets, only to return home again. It could become #10 build off material.
