I got an old rusty beach bike from a friend that I've been ignoring for a long while now. Decided to do something with it. The fork was bent to heck and every piece of chrome was rusted beyond repair, but the frame had killer patina and the decals looked awesome. Even has faint gold pinstriping still on the lugs so I knew how I wanted to build it up. Unfortunately...I can't find any of the before pictures :(

I snagged a Sunlite 27" lugged fork, and parts from other bikes I had around. A vintage Brooks saddle, some rad 700x32c gumwalls with some semi-aggressive tread, cork grips, and a gold chain.

Then we built the little rack to mount an old "gift box" crate I'd saved for just such an occasion.

Then I stained and sealed the crate, and varnished the cork grips to match the color better and seal them up.
