Diacomp (i think) brakes
Shimano friction stem shifters
Shimano front rear derailer
Wheelsize thing really confused me
Is/was there a size larger than 700?

If it has shimano parts it's either a miss mash of parts or it's not 1950's Pictures and a serial number would be very helpful, with those I can probably tell you what day it was made.

Serial number should be on the left rear dropout (Where the rear wheel bolts into), under the bottom bracket (Where the crank goes into), or on the steer tube (where the fork goes through the frame).

If it's a Head Badge with numbers stamped in it, obviously not 50's. or has 80's style badge. I'm with Outskirts on this one. Gotta have a pic.
