Popped by hardware store for stem Allen bolts,had a look around my parts stash. The previous chrome (3 speed) wheel weighed a tonne,so I'm trying what looks like aluminum Electra wheels. Got those Michelin tires on, pretty pleased with today's progress:
When I was a child, my Schwinn had that same type of seat on it, and I always wondered why it said, “Schwinn approved“?
I just couldn’t figure out why they had to put that tag on there. Were parts of the bike not approved? Why just the seat?
