Some buddies and I went on a road trip yesterday to check out an awesome old bike collection. This sucker was sitting in his "junk" pile, what he considers junk I drool over. Anyway I asked what he was going to do with it, he said take it before I throw it away. It's a 26x2.125 Uniroyal Slick, probably an old sulky tire. The sidewalls are weathered so I saddle soaped the tire inside and out, lined the inside with duct tape, and it's holding 40lbs of air just fine. Just barely clears my seatstay bridge. Now let's see if it'll withstand 200lbs. of me on it.
