Screamer Type Mag Wheel

Here is a way to make a Screamer type mag wheel from a Skyway mag. I made these cardboard inserts to fit the Skyway mags. These are the first shot at making them. It will take 10 of them to do a wheel. Probably bolt them together to hold them on. Probably use aluminum for the inserts. They can be polished easy or painted. To make it look more like a Screamer mag you would have to paint the "rim" part silver along with the spoke top. The insert and sides of the spoke would be black. A polished insert would give the opposite look but might look cool too. Couple pics of first mock up.

The cool thing is they have 20 and 16 inch mags brand new. This might be a easy and cheap hack to make some cool mags.

I am waiting on a 16 inch mag to get here now. These card board inserts are about 3/16 inch thick. I think 1/8 inch material would be better. Aluminum, steel or plastic inserts all would work.

A littlt progress on the mags. I had 10 aluminum plates cut for each size rim. They fit nice in the rims. I will probably use some kind of adhesive to mount them to the rims. No sure what to use paint or powder coat for them. Still have to trim up the 20 inch ones in the center. These are still just mock up spokes. I would need to get them waterjet cut to make any more. Here are a few more pics.

Here is the wheel on a mag wheel Screamer. I need to paint the outside edge silver and the top of the spoke to match the back wheel. Inserts will get painted black. I scored a great set of butterfly bars for it. I have some green Hunt Wilde tape for the bars. I need a rear reflector case and reflectors.
