Sealing dusty rust

Does anyone know how to seal rust to keep it from further rusting and to help with the dust rust creates? Is there any kind of oil or clear that can be put over rust? Any input would be appreciated.

Disassemble, wash with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly. Spray bomb it with your favorite clear satin. The clear will turn it a dark orangish brown. Looks good. Gary

Washing with warm water, drying well and rattle can clear is what i did on this one. I love the way it turned out.

So i finally had time to disassemble for clear. I washed with warm water and threw some clear on her. Not to shabby looking!

For Bar Fly, I washed it, wiped it down with acetone, then did a coat of satin clear followed by a coat of matte clear. Turned out great!
