I know it's not a bike per se, but I came across two frames of this model tonIght. One is pretty nice, one is rusty. Both are stripped to just a frame like in this link:

After some digging, I was able to find a front fender, 2 rear wheels, 1 handlebar and a headlight assembly w/ a built in speedo. So here's my thoughts......instead of trying to find all the correct pieces to restore it, Im thinking of turning it into some kind of retro styled rat chopper bicycle. What do you think?

I bought this broken down, untitled, Yamaha 125, gutted out the engine, and used moped cranks and parts to turn it into a pedal bike.

I then used that moped frame to make another bicycle.

That blue moped bike is awesome!! I'm surprised that there hasn't been more done like that. Some of the older mopeds have great body lines and would look good as custom bicycles.
