I've seen nice ones for a lot less. I don't know what the seller believes makes that one worth so much. Maybe it's 'American Picker' syndrome? Or maybe there is something I just don't know about it.

I do know when they were actually produced they weren't very popular because they were ungainly and awkward to ride. But their nostalgia grew as a cool looking bike, and an opposite to the more expensive Krate. I don't think many can deny that they look really cool.

I'm no expert on those but the pedals and shifter look wrong. Cool bike but I never liked the frame style. the rails, eliminators, krates etc look much nicer!

The pedals are correct being this is a 71 bike. The shifter is correct being this is a non springer front fork. The drag brake shifter came on the deluxe model with the springer fork. The sissy bar looks like one of the Persons proto type bars that were for sale last year. They were all one off bars.

I like that bike a lot, very nice paint, with a good seat, and cool aftermarket sissy bar. For someone looking for just one mint example that might be the one.

And you were half right Whopper! The shifter is correct for the bike, but the knob on the shifter isn't correct. Looks like a Shimano knob from a click stick, but it should be the round kind. It might have been lost over the years.

Just my opinion, I think everyone should have at least one in their collection just because they have such a cool look. They're a nice riding bike although the shifter is in a weird position compared to say a Fastback which I think is in a very comfortable spot. I guess if I had my seat lower the shifter would be easier to reach.
