I wasn't lonely. There were long lines both to get the tickets and then to get in the door. This is the ticketed line. From the front...
Then from the back...
The last event I went to here (Seattle Erotic Arts Festival) didn't have half the turn out, that's got to tell you something about how big biking is in this fair city.
The floor is crammed with tables and bicycles. Most of the parts are for road and mountain bikes and it can be surprise to find the same part on one table for $5 and on the next for $50. There are of course a few FUN odd ball bikes. I thought about asking the vendor to give me a demo of how you ride these.
Vintage bikes seemed to be very much a small segment here. There were really just a couple vendors and the prices certainly didn't make them a find.
Most of them seemed to be incomplete but at prices I'd expect for something restored and complete, actually some of the prices seemed like what I would expect if they were in mint condition.
I did see some great deals on slightly vintage high end road bike parts. And there were a lot of great bikes to pick up for a fair price. If you're looking for mnt bike tires I don't see how you could find a better selection anywhere. I also have a hunch that haggling as the day gets closer to closing time might be a great strategy if you wanted something.
FUN!
