I've got a '99 Dyno Mooneyes I'm thinking about spiffying up a bit. One idea I had was to add a tank in the frame since I've always been a fan of that look. A friend of mine is an aircraft metal fabricator, so may be able to build one. My question: How were they affixed to the frame to look seemless without welding?

Usually a few screws hold the 2 halves together.

Once you tighten the screws it doesn't rattle at all. Your bike will run faster with a tank and it will also become a chick magnet. Don't forget the rack and headlight.:p Gary

Use the pre-war hanging tank style. This is installed with straps that go over the tubes. This is much easier for a DIY project.
