I need help to identify the year for some bikes:

Western Flyer Sonic Flyer- girls bike
s.n. 2H508302

Monark Thunderbird- girls bike
s.n. 9H314827

AMF Roadmaster Jet Pilot-boys bike
s.n. R123917

thanks

AMF Roadmaster

WF Sonic Flyer

I don't have a picture of the Monark, but is same kind of frame as the Sonic Flyer, but has the tank and light on the front fender (but missing)

That Jet Pilot is wicked! You don't see many of those.. especially so complete and original. It's around 1960-61.

The Sonic Flyer is 1962 and the Monark should be 1959 if it is indeed the same frame and has a real headbadge. If it has a sticker headbadge, it would be a '69.

the Jet Pilot has a license plate from 1968. Can it really be from 60-61?

Here some pictures of the Monark. It has a real badge

Thanks for info.

Monark is a 59, made by Huffy after the merger with Monark. The Jet Pilot is probably a 63. The Evolution 1 book has amf ads from 62, 63, and 65, as well as some older ones. Yours matches the 63, while the 62 and 65 JP's had different chainguards, chainrings, and a bigger tank on the 62 and earlier models. -Adam

thanks Adam
