i'd like to turn it into a guys bike and i'm looking for alittle inspiration.
i'd love to see pic's/ links to your sex change builds. i know i've seen more than a few that i really liked, but finding them again has been a lengthy search with not many results. :)

thx guys and gals

the bike just arrived. it is indeed a jc higgins (26") the woman that sold it to me said it was 1940's, but i really dont know much about it.

any info would be greatly appreciated.
upon further inspection, it is a cool little bike, who knows maybe i'll just do it up for the girlfriend. i really haven't decided its out come.

that bike looks clean, think if it was me, I would clean and lube it and sport it , girl friend is good idea too, nice score,

sorry had to

In Provincetown we call them Shims  Cape Cod local joke, nothing to get upset over.

I love how this thread started  :D All fun aside, you can go many directions. Pick your style, bend the tubes, mock it up, cut to fit, and weld. :? Pretty easy huh? Click my links below and it will give some ideas what you have to go through to get a sex change  .
Have fun with with your build.

man that picture is down right scary!

well thx for humouring me. those are sweet sex changes. i guess the girlfriend liked the idea of keeping this one for herself.

spent the weekend stripping it down and giving it a new coat of paint. it still needs to be striped. the girl is also requesting new seat/grips and pedals.

See my "Snake Farm" bike in Build Off #3 (think it's near the end of the list). Note that it was a cosmetic change only, no welding involved.
