Motorized build/mock up.

Seat tube cut. Lucky 7 post turned, dropped, shimmed and welded. Frame prepped.

Tank goodies

Rest of the build will include Monark repop fork, clubman style bars, worked over 50cc 2 smoker, Velo Orange saddle and some other surprises. Color still undecided.

My mysterious Higgins. I didn't build it, I acquired it a few years ago and finally got it assembled. I'm guessing a hot rod project. The seller claimed an original model, but I'm not thinking so......Anybody want to venture opinions, feel free.

Sweet bike. I would say that your bike is a tranny. The top tubes are from a Monark boys and the rest is Higgins ( Murray) made female.

This was a rusted and painted over barn find,lots of time with the grinder and had some holes in the frame where someone must have run an brake cable .Had to have it braised up.Many hours into this one rides like a dream !Cheers!

Here is my 50s(?) J.C.Higgins. . . . $10 from Goodwill. As far as I can tell nothing is missing and the only thing that is not stock is the front tire. . . but it is still time correct.

This is my wifes bike, i think its a 63, made in england, the head badge is different than any others i have seen, it just a rider for her, the one in the backround is my 60 Flightliner in its stage of restoration. Sulley

My 61 JC Higgins FlightLiner. About 95% original if not more.

Nothing special here, just a 61" Huffy built J.C. Higgins "Deluxe" that was given to me by the town's real estate agent (yeah, the town is that small) who knew I was into old bikes. Of course it didn't look like this when I got it, and almost got mistakenly taken to the dumps about 7 years ago when just a unfinished pile of parts and a frame in the corner of my basement.

Not the fanciest out there, but very trouble free and had to go to a pair of rims off a 79' huffy cruiser to swap in, with modern shimano coaster brake and no hops or other problems old wheels can get.
