my mx bars are the same way but I have removed some of the paint to look at the pattern so I can possibly regroove them in the futureThey have a little bit of a cross-hatch cut into the center, but the thick finish pretty much fills it in.

Wow, definitely over the top. What kinda frame is that? Looks like it was built by Alexandre G. Eiffel from parts left over from his Garabit Viaduct. Seriously, I like it. I bet you get comments like "what the". The color scheme is schizophrenic, which adds to the "what the factor". Very tasteful; you could have ruined the entire effect if you would have had used colored tires (remembering black is the absence of color) or two different colored tires. Its slick but beyond, its artful. It's got personality and speaking to me but I can't figure out exactly what it's saying. It's mechanical but the seat is the head of a living beast.
