Got a late start on a photo safari today…to be continued.
we made it to the “Twister Grande” sculpted by Alice Aycock on the Wichita State University campus followed by breakfast at iHop. Took a few shot at the roundabout but with the scale of things it’s difficult to frame things up and emphasize the bike. I guess I could have tried a ground shot.

GeePig had suggested ArtDeco backgrounds. The buildings so inclined have most of the detail work high in the sky. We had a bridge on our list but didn’t make it there in good light. As stated before to be continued…

One more time I got a late start on the better morning light. I went ahead and took some composition photos to consider if going back earlier or later would be worthwhile. This post is photo heavy.

That twister is cool. Like you said, a ground shot may be in order. It will also help to pull the bike a little further back from it too.

Sidebar rat rod project…picked up an old manual sewing machine base at a Saturday flea market. I cleaned it up and started on a repurposed table. Eventually I’d like to add some kind of mechanical animation to it, to take advantage of the smooth running treadle flywheel. A few pics.

The lichen encrusted bones of this bike came from an estate’s backyard bushes and tornado alley…and given a second chance in life.

I think you did a fantastic job fixing up that bike! I love how the silvervein and red go together on it. I think you've got a solid finished entry photo there as well.

Have you come up with any ideas on what moving feature you're going to add to that table? I know it's kind of silly, but what if you had a little guy riding a bike on it?

As always your build shows your eye for making a project clean and very much useable. Simple is much harder to achieve ‘right’ than a doodad full distraction
