i have a skiptooth bike, and i got a different, slightly smaller sprocket. now the chain sags really bad, so bad that im afriad the bike wont ride properly. so im wondering if i can use a regular chain breaker to take out a couple links. :?

You can try a regular chain breaker, but unless it is high quality, it probably won't work -the skip chains can be tough. You might have better luck putting the rivet you want to remove over a little hole drilled in a piece of hardwood board and using a small punch and a hammer to drive it out.

hm.. it looks to be really tough.. its pretty heavy for a chain.. ill try both tomorrow.

if you do the hammer deal make sure not to pound the pin all the way out or you will hate yourself later
