Well it is that time and here is what I will start with....

Columbia 3 speed Trike with a differential rear end...

The rim and spokes will be laced up to the rear wheel hubs of the Trike and will get some OCC 20" x 4-1/4" Stingray rubber on them.

I will also use this bike frame as the new front end for the trike.

Well I ran into my first issue/problem in this build... The hubs are not wanting to come free.

Even with the differential pulled apart the axles don't want to slide out.

Any idea on how to deal with this?

Heat penatrating oil, heat penetrating oil repeat as required....then big hammer and little taps

Have any of you used this...

ATF-Acetone mix...............53 pounds

The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50 - 50 automatic
transmission fluid and acetone. Note the "home brew" was better
than any commercial product in this one particular test.

Well I got the axles out, but the hubs are still stuck on them.

And as you can see it is at the point of no return.

Now for the first mock up...

It isn't much different than building a bike, only one more wheel to deal with is all.

True, my problem is though, trike's are extremely thin on the ground over here. So without spending an absolute fortune I'd probably be looking at creating my own.

Glad you got the axles out! You may end up having to rebuild the wheels on the axles...

Yea, but I have to replace the bearings which looks like they come off the end the hubs are on. I may be able to build it up another way for the bearings though.
