Well about 2 1/2 years ago I bought this Chinese Schwinn DeLuxe Cruiser frame N.O.S. w/bare metal tank CHEAP! Took it home, primered the tank and hung it up pondering the possibilities of a future build. mos. later @ the Tucson swap meet I find a pair of used (not abused) Centenial phantom fenders minus the rear reflector for $40.00!!!!! This made the decision a little clearer as to what direction it would go now.Well after all this time, and a part here and a part there this is where I am at. I was bored and decided to pull all the parts from teir many places in my lil ol shed and do a mock-up to see where I am at at this point in the hunting and gathering stage! I give you my Phony phantom as it is now! SO, wadda ya think? Latr & PEACE !!!!!

I think you're farther along than I am with mine...lookin' great , I wish I could find the fenders for 40 bucks ...dirt cheap from what I have
been finding around the net. So what color red , green or black :?:

Actually I will go with a custom paint theme on this one. I will use the same pattern as the Black Phantom but will go with Oakland A's Green and Gold w/white pinstripes.I am thinking about tha A's baseball logo in the round area on the chainguard as well. At least those are the ideas I have right now. I would really like to figure out how to do some decals or transfers for the chainguard and tank, the tank would read Oakland, the guard would read Athletics.I decided to build this one for me, not Schwinn. I am curious however how many people will be calling me an "athletic supporter" when they see me on the finished bike!

Search online for decal makers. There used to be a few of them out there that would make waterslide decals from your artwork. Some, for an additional fee, will work on the artwork for you.

I think it is great just seeing you on the forum again. I was asking Brian if he had heard from you.Last Fri. we rode the First Friday Artwalk. Brian,Josh and myself it was great and you were missed.Oh and the bike is gonna be a great build too   8)

I wanted to go sooo bad! Greenblazer said it was off tha hook!I had some really serious family emergencies arise that needed my full and immediate attention. I actually mocked this up Sun. morning as a stress reducing diversion! Hopefully you guys can make the next one as well.

I almost thought we were looking at another one of Karfer67's upsidedown garages :D I had to adjust my eyes. Should be a cool bike when done.
