7/17/2018 hose for carb, and my bar ends showed up
the other covers still arnt here so i put the stock covers back on while i tinker so i dont damage the chrome gonna order the exhaust on Friday and that leaves rims and brakes. i can see the finish line!!
small update rims and hubs are here waiting on spokes and currently time stretching the rear a lil bit so its easier to spread by hand pic is kinda like i-spy
Rims are built i just gotta finish the true, waiting on the front monarch brake mount brackets im gonna fab those to fit the felt "Abraham" forks and then im gonna make a spacer for the rear that mounts to the rack mount holes for the complete disk setup and i still have to order the rear sprocket and the top hat adapter we are so close!!!!
its been a bit since i posted and i apologized but i had a catastrophe i took the engine apart to do some port work and noticed that my original stud fix with the heli coil (long story short torque wrench broke and pulled a stud by over tightening). and i noticed my doom... the case was ...... so i spent a bit just saving and doing some side projects i managed to get the rims straightened mostly gonna have a pro wheel builder check them but i also got the tires, disk brake fork mounts, new engine case, new crank i also wrapped and painted the exhaust and i ordered a big bore 52mm piston, iron sleeved cylinder, Oz reed kit. kinda just going all out now building my own race engine since i dont trust the kit engines now XD i have a friend that wants a motor bike so i jb welded the crack on the other engine and im gonna build that one for him for free. heres some pics of the struggle.
more to come i have 3 more orders to make and then i have all the pieces so hopefully soon ill get this thing rolling... Cheers -Sly
so after a while of tinkering and .... breaking and words being said and some downtime away from my project. she is finally done. so as the story goes from where i left off i got the bike assembled with the dio engine i only ran that engine 3 times and the heli coil pulled out and caused an air leak... so at that point i lost it i pretty much called the project there and took some much needed me time. after about a week i made a choice and dropped some real moneys on a professionally built case reed. I managed to source the right parts for the front forks and got them done and dialed in i couldnt get the HD lightning to give spark tho i think i got a bad one but the stock one i have is a beast i also got an old school motorcycle headlight and modded it to use a car led. here are my final pictures of the build she is complete. P.S so sorry it took me this long to post the finished product. Enjoy!!!
