smallest chain

I,ve done some thinking and sketching about a scale model I would like to build.I'm thinking steel tubing for the frame and rubber orings for the tires. I'm talking about approx 1/6 scale which would mean the wheels would be 4 inches in diameter , more or less.The one thing I have not figured out yet is the chain.Has anyone seen something built on the scale I'm talking about? If so, what was used in place of sprockets and chain? I might go with shaft drive, like a peerless.Thanks. :?:

Another option is the chain they used in Gilbert Erector Sets from 1913 to the mid 1930s. The first listing is for some separate sale chain. The second listing shows the chain in use in a 1924 Steam Shovel model. There are also a variety of gears that were used that may work as sprockets.

The wife bought me this for my new office. I think she got it at Pier1 imports for $35.
Would make an AWESOME donor bike! 'Brooks' saddle, front basket, rear rack,etc... :mrgreen:
