I was kinda late to the game….

I randomly checked the site and saw that another build off was going on. For some time I had been collecting parts to make my dream muscle bike. I kept moving other projects ahead of my vision as the years went by.

It was time

I wanted to use an established frame for both geometry and ease of building a jig. I found a 24” complete mountain bike that fit the plan. I used the seat tube, lower chain stay, head tube, and bottom bracket, the rest would be hand fabricated. I built the jig directly off of the mountain bike frame and removed sections of the frame I wouldn’t be using as I built other pieces. It was slow going but I completed it in a timely manner. My motivation was a hybrid between a muscle bike, bmx bike, mountain bike, and vintage road bike. I’ll let you look at the pics and decide which is which!!

Just had time to watch your vid this morning. Very well done! Obviously not your 'first rodeo', as they say!

The tribute to your dad was very appropriate, and heartfelt. I'm sorry to hear of his struggle with cancer. I lost my dad much the same way, over a period of years. Sharing their love of the 'garage' and dedicating ourselves, and our builds and projects to them is a way to honor them now that they are gone.
