Beautiful, wonder how much I could get for my old Eddy Merckx if I shined it up?

Those were the days. My old 1980 Bianchi that I bought new and raced for years, now restored and turned into an SS.

Nice! And funny, similar story here. Mine's an '85 or '86 Campione Del Mundo, bought new, was my first "serious" road bike. Raced for a few years, then converted it to a flat bar a couple years back, with cushier saddle and wider tires so I can still enjoy riding it these days with my slightly different physique and condition.
Still handles like a two-wheeled Ferrari.

Cool!, nothing like an old celeste green Bianchi. I hear you on the "slightly different physique"!

The Ciocc is amazing, every last piece is pimped out from the cables to the toe straps. It's actually a little nauseating to look at, a little too much bling and gaudy. A lot of gold for one bike, but still wow. That's some Italian bike porn man.

great stuff... I coveted Italian bikes when I raced in the 80s. I am partial to DeRosas and Tomasinis.

Kinetic-UK

do you have any pictures or info on '70s COPPI bicycles?

Thanks

Good Lord those bikes are pure rolling artwork. Just here drooling now

oh boy, just wish I still had my old Bianchi and all it's campy stuff. I kick myself for letting it go. oh well, thats life. thanks for the pic'c.
