I had the last week off because of Spring break. Not much was acomplished, but I did get to take a couple of small trips here in AZ. Earlier in the week I went up to the mountains to visit a friend for a couple of days. There was still quite a bit of snow on the north side of the mountains. One of the pics is in his yard where he regulary spots Javelina, Elk and even a Mountain lion once.

Over the weekend I went to Apache Lake to attend yet another "man camp". These are family and friends that 2-3 times a year go camping/hunting/boating.The weather was perfect, mid 70s,enough to get sunburned. The camp was set up in a great cove. Here are some pics from camp and the drive there. The big canyon in some of the pics is Fish Creek Canyon. The road down is very rough dirt with 600ft + dropoffs and at many places only wide enough for 1 vehicle. Many cars are at the bottom of the canyon.

I thought I might share these pics. I know some of the members maybe have not been out west and some of our friends overseas might enjoy them.

I've been a rockhound all my life. I've never been to AZ, but I can see from your pics that I'd head out toward those rocks and probably never return. I'd be in heaven! Nice pics, and congrats that spring made it to your place. We're still cold, wet, and waiting. Gary
