Don't have any before or during build photos, kind of in paint stage right now. Started off as a men's 26" USA Roadmaster MTB and an old USA Huffy road bike loaned something important, what do you see?

The gold is a little bling, but it's going to help out the next coat.

OK, I'm stumped, intrigued, but stumped. I'll be watching this one.

Don't be misled, the hanging parts are the only thing you need to see. We built it and rode it, then stripped it back down for paint. You are not seeing the bars, seat, crank, and wheels... they are 20".

If all goes well I think you're really going to enjoy riding this one.

We rode it before tear down, Cody and I both have a mile or two under our belts, it is an odd ride to say the least, and getting in a car and driving right after riding it is a sketchy idea. It doesn't have a long throw like some I've seen, but it's enough to be a lot of fun... and danger.

Is it hard to ride a swing bike? Does it kinda want to track or do you have to keep it straight? Looks really cool. I took a welding class 20years ago, I guess I need to take another one!

From my limited experience on this bike, no, it does not want to track, haha, if you pedal fast the back wants to outrun the front and each crank of the pedal must be compensated in steering and with your torso. It is a workout, and the 3 of us who have ridden it look RIDICULOUS when first starting out, really shaky. Is it hard to ride though? No, hard to get good at? Probably.

I have been able to "straddle" up to 3 parking blocks in a row, but still can't 1 wheel curb ride it.

Here's mine. Some of my friends were shaky at first. I've had time to practice riding it though.I wish I could make a video. I'm at the point where I can put things in the road and ride with my wheels on each side of them. Also if you turn the front one direction and the rear in the other you can ride in super-tight circles. I like carving on it. And I can ride with my front end on a curb and my rear in the road or vice-versa.

What is it? :?

Swing bike.

Ozzmonaut, that bike has a pretty long throw, are you stretched out sitting on it? Looks fun, if I get to like this one I might try one with that geometry.

The bike in this thread would have a different feel to it. I have ridden one with a similar design built by americas swing bike company. It had a unique feel and was fun to ride. If youthgeye's handle like the one I tried, It will feel very free and will not really track.

I really need to make a better video with my nice bikes. This other design tracks somewhat. It took some practice, but I am able to ride for miles no handed. No handed deosn't necessarily mean it tracks.

I am not saying one design is better than another. They have their own feel. The one that youthgeye is building would be a lot of fun.
