This is my entry into the "Underrated Rat Buildoff" happening in the build challenge section. Please comment here.
My entry is a 50 something girls Monark built Speed O King. All original as far as I can tell. I have a set of Carlisle lightning tires that were on the bike when I got it.
As it sits right now:

I confess that I had contemplated building a tall bike or a burrito from some old girls frames, but then I remembered this one tucked away in the corner.

I would like to just do a mild resto. I think I can get the paint looking a lot better, the chrome not so much.

Sorry, those are just some whitewalls that I threw on there a while ago. The Carlisles are hanging in the garage.

Haven't done much. Waiting for the weather to cooperate so I can do an oxalic acid bath.
On the bike, that is.

I agree the Franks would be cool. I was thinking these instead:

Ran into some disassembly problems that I finally got sorted out today.
Fender bolt head snapped off:

Got that drilled out for an easy out.

And the usual stuck fork. I got some penetrant in through the hole I drilled and got the stem bolt loose without snapping it off. Forks gave up pretty easy after that.

I believe an OA bath and it would all look like the before paint! (Or close to it.)
