Dumb question

I picked up a 26 incher with a shimano 3 speed hub that I want to use and I want to lace it to a 26 inch MTB rim. Can I reuse the 26 inch (Schwinn) spokes on the MTB rim? The rims are different diameters by 1/2 to 3/4 inch.

Who knew?

It seems like I could just add a little more twist to the hub to take up the difference....right.....


I really want to use the 3 speed, help please??????

twisting the hub a little morewont do much good, when you twist to make the leading spokes hug the rim it will also push the trailing spokes further back.

You might be able to switch to 4-cross if they are 3, costs only your time to try.

If you know what size you need, you can order them from memory lane classics, it usually runs me about $8 a wheel for spokes through them.
