Twice a year I play hooky and go to the huge gearhead flea market in Carlisle, PA. This time I snagged pics of lots of bike stuff. Figured I'd share in case anyone would get a kick out of seeing the stuff that was there.
This Roadmaster Wedge was REALLY sweet. No price and the guy was busy with customers so I didn't ask.
Lots of wacky parts on this one.
Beautiful shape, but isn't that a little pricey?
There were plenty of these if mopeds are your kink.
Non-bike-related side note... it kills me that I used to be able to pick up steering wheels like this for 5 bucks. Nobody wanted them, everybody was replacing them with something fancier. Bucket seats are the same way. We used to pick them up for 50 bucks for a nice usable pair. Now it's $300-$400 for a completely roached-out set to use as a base for all new foam and upholstery.
This one was pretty. Reasonably priced at $75.
$650 with mediocre paint, the wrong decals, and the wrong seat and sissy?
This is the Apollo I ended up taking home. Guy would have taken $25 for the blue Skoot next to it.
Asking $450
Notice the guard on the lavender Barracuda says Stick Shift. No doubt someone yoinked it off to use on a boy's bike and stuck this grip shift on to sell it.
I REALLY liked this one. Asking $300.
This was one row over from the guy with the Apollo and the identical Skoot, only this was cleaned up and they wanted 125 for it.
Man cave decor, anyone?
Oddball 20-inchers. Check out the last pic of the guard on the black bike. Star Shot? Star Wars-inspired for sure. Also: B.F. Goodrich Challenger, The Londoner, made-in-Germany President.
More to come... I don't want to overload one post with pics. (Is there a limit?)
