The outside diameter of a 700c or 27'' wheel is almost identical to a 26'' x 2.125 American Imperial so your steering geometry will be unaffected. The OLND (over lock nut dimension) is the same so it'll fit in the drop-outs ok. So no probs. If you can live without a front brake...
