It's hard to show a 2D picture of something that needs to be seen in 3D. I hope this helps.
Anyway, I was hoping someone made reproductions of these. I don't want to pay vintage Schwinn prices. I just want them for some bikes I am building.
The best of the Krate handlebars...

There are more styles than just three.
Did you slide the bars out of the neck and look for the Schwinn stamp? If those are Schwinn bars, they came off of a '67 bike. That's the year they had that style
Hey Rob, what kind of bars did they use on the 1965 Sting-Rays :?:NLCTVWguy said:Yeah 66 and 67 Fastbacks used those bars as well. The 66 Fastback was the first to use a lot of special parts on a 20" bike- the 5-speed stik shift, the overload tube, the red-dot brake levers more commonly associated with the Krates, the 5-speed rear hub, the 5-speed Krate type chainguard, among other things.
The 5-speed derailleur and large front sprocket were Sprint parts, however, not the "Schwinn Approved" stuff made later (68-up) for the Krates and 5-speed Stingrays.
The regular 66 Stingray didn't use the bent down bars, but the Fastback did. The '67 Stingray used those bars, then both bikes went to the tall wide bars along with the Krates in 68. In 70, the bars remained tall but the uprights were bent to a more parallel angle.
Have fun with it! Coppertone is always a great looking color on these bikes, I think.
