New addition to the herd: Ross Compact camelback circa 1980. Seat tube 17". Tires 26 X 1-3/8. Shimano 3-speed hub. All stock except for adding longer seat post and swapping out drop handlebars for riser MTB bars. Love the red paint. I haven't ridden a 3-speed in a while and have to remember to stop pedaling to shift but all works well for a pleasant ride.

For skinny tires I like these Kendas 26 x 1.50. They come in gumwall and black too but these were all that was available. And I can go back to 2.125 on the same rims.

Got this Murray mountain bike for free with some rusted out wheels and cracked tires. Put a set of 26" wheels from a 1980s Huffy 10 speed and some new 26x1-3/8 tires.

My neighbor was tossing this to the curb. Caught him in the act and snagged it. Been in Storage for over 30 years. In perfect shape but hated the ride of it stock. Changed out the offending components and love it. Needs hybrid tread. Stock tires on it.
