I found this picture buried in a post of pictures from a car show in Finland. I had one of those funny visions in my head. Monday i am gonna visit a friend of mine who is a master welder and we are going to brainstorm!!

i don't know if he posted here, but i was on another forum (low and slow pedal scrapers) and there was a guy saying he was one of the people originally behind the stretch cruisers.

anyway, one pic he showed was a tank stretch. i'll edit and add the thread in a minute.

That's a sweet design. I would be a bit worried about flex in the frame however.
