A few years ago i designed a frame in Sketchup, the concept is a stretched frame, with a focus on speed and function over form. I had two of them built by a craftsman.
Now i finally have them built up, and am quite pleased with the results.
The design:
And the result. Pretty close!
I proudly present my new bike, the SR1:
It is built up with a Vintage Thun aluminium singlespeed crankset and pedals, a Truvativ crankconverter, a vintage Campagnolo bottom bracket, vintage Suntour shifter, nexus 3 coaster brake wheelset, BMX fork and stem, bend apehangers, Vintage Vasad leather seat and unusual vintage Aluminium seatpen. Linseed oil coated rust coating.
I will probably add fenders, a rack and chainguard, but i like the raw look for now while it,s summer..
I am 52 years old and managed to outrun every other (racing) cyclist passed on my testruns on this frame, even though it is quite heavy due to the steel used.
SR1 version2:
One piece crank, aluminium bend seatpost, doubledown fork, apehangers, vintage Brooks seat.
Hope you like it, cheers from Amsterdam.
