Stripping chrome

I need a Safe Easy way to strip chrome off a bicycle part. Any suggestions

If you are going to repaint it just sand it off. That's what I've been doing.

Take it to a chrome shop and tell them you need the chrome removed, they do this all the time when they have to replate something. Should be cheap
