Ok so I'm trying to figure out a spoke length on these nexus 7 speeds to a regular rim.
I measured the one that came on them and they were 9 7/8 '' long. Taking into consideration the
drop rim , I figured a little longer. I had some 10 1/4'' I tried lacing them just for fun....too long.
I put all the information in a spoke calculator and it came back saying the spokes needed to be
268mm now that is crazy. That translate to 10.55 and that is way longer than the 10 1/4 that were
too long. If anybody finds a length that works ...tell me because I'm lost .mm junk anyway.

Low I didn't find the calculator.
CCR I did that one and it looks like they are 10.05 inches. That is about what I figured. 1/8'' per spoke
difference for the drop center rim.

My lbs has all his spoke lengths marked in inches in his stock room, once I went to the college town 30 minutes away when my lbs didn't have what I needed. I asked them for 10-1/8" and all three shops told me they needed me to bring it in so they could see if they had something that would work. At the last shop I hung around and waited until the guy was busy and walked in back and grabbed what I needed and put it on the counter. The kid asked me if I found some because all they had were metric spokes.

It seems like over the past year there were a few people that used various spoke calcs and ended up with spokes that were too long.
Good luck.

Looking for 14g 255 or 256 and they don't seem to have that size. I tried Niagra and Husky.
Need to search some more places. Its just a smidge over 10''. Husky has some stainless 10''
ones cheap but they are 11g and I don't think they will fit in the hub. Might could drill them
out a little they have plenty of meat. I tried a 105 and it wouldn't go. Not sure what that translates
to in gauge though.

Cheap is a foreign word when it comes to spokes online. Memory lane classics was cheap last time I bought off of them though. Think I waited about a week or so.

I've been buying boxes of Wheelmaster 260 mm spokes that had 144 spokes for about $25 from my LBS. He tells me now that they are out or have been discontinued. The next alternative is a bag of 50 spokes for about $50. I don't know what gives there? I'll be robbing some junk wheels that I've got laying around for sure!

Wasn't there someone here that had a ton of NOS spokes for sale?

Still the best trouble free and cheapest source I know of for 14g stainless spokes is Wheel Fanatyk:
http://www.wheelfanatyk.bigcartel.com/p ... gth-spokes
Twenty cents each custom cut in any length. These are top quality Wheelsmith spokes.
I don't even bother checking my own stock anymore, I just order new ones cheap.

Try this one, fill in the measurements on the hub diagram and give it the lacing and hole count on the left.
One of my LBS guys showed me this a couple of days ago. He said he uses it for shop wheel builds.
