Thanks Drag and Luke . I think any build is fun. Whether its a bike or
a scooter. I alway thought to me its so simple to build a bike frame. Then
building this thing , I realized how difficult sticking a couple pieces of pipe
together can be. So thinking its easy to build stuff may not be true.lol

Luke I bought a jeep once, and it had great big tires with
a lift kit. Someone had driven it on the beach and I cleaned
sand out of everywhere. Took me a week to get it all out.
My wife said lets take it to the beach. My reply was Woman have
you lost your mind?

Enough playing around, let's see some wheelies!!! :p:rockout:

Its hard to tell how fast it is, because the shop and fence come
up real quick. need to finish it before I try on the street for a
speed run.:)

Kingfish I doubt if it will wheelie. Don't think the motor can lift
a 200 pound mini bike with my fat rear on it. I am ready for the
seat. Those three pipes hurt. They are suppose to have the seat
done sometime this week. I hope.

With those tires it reminds me of Batman's rides, very very cool.
Love the sound of the engine.
Unkle, you look good on it!

Its an interesting project. I have learned a bunch about building
a mini bike frame for sure. It looks pretty good.

I doubt you'd want to, but if you come across a bunch of ATC front ends and wheel/tires, you could turn these out and make some $$$$$$.
I know that could take the fun out of it too.

it's definitely the coolest Mini Bike I have ever seen.

Uncle Stretch has more than enough talent to build the front ends from scratch too...

Luke.

Luke with that comet TAV thing it changes the gear ratio as the
speed picks up. Seems to work good.

GD it turned out looking pretty good. Not sure how much better it would
look with both tires being the same size. might should have done it that way.

Duece the parts are pricy. I was lucky and got most of the stuff for free.
Probably won't happen again. I priced that front drum setup on Ebay
and they wanted $80 plus shipping for one. They are proud of the stuff.
I have learned if you keep your money, you make more than trying to
build expensive toys to sell.:) You can buy a used Baja Warrior for around
$300 and they are close to this. I have about $550 in this monstrosity.

Luke that s funny. Yesterday I was looking at the forks and
wondering how hard it would be to bend one up using that
schedule 40 pipe. May try it sometime just for fun.

Honda used a thumb throttle. Guess they figured it was easier to use
than a twist grip one. Since I am doing this on the cheap, I reused it.
It has an on and off switch on top. I checked and the China motor has
a low oil sensor that everybody says to disconnect because if you go around a curve or up a steep hill it will sense a low oil condition and shut the motor
off. I found out I could ground one wire from the throttle switch and run
the other in place of the oil sensor, and I have a good off switch right
at my finger tips. Kinda cool.

It is all in the details. Besides I dont' mind thumb throttles....still use them on snow mobiles.
