Sturmey Archer X-FD Front Hub Question

Does it matter which side the armature faces when mounting to the fork? Which side should it mount? Left or Right (drive side)? The reason I ask is that I'd like to modify the armature with screwholes & utilize the disc brake tab on my triple tree fork (suicide solution, in the gallery) vs. an armature strap. I'm thinking it dosen't matter & i can mount the brake with the armature on the left side. Any opinions? PS, the SA rear hub armature faces left...Thanks, Rudy.

That hub should only be mounted on the left side(non drive side). You can check SA website too, but if you mount it on the drive side it will make weird noises.
