Just some pics of my collection so far. This does NOT include my road bike or three mt bikes.
1 - Murray Sears 3 spd, no year found yet.
2 - 2011 Felt Fat Tire 20th Anniversary
3 - Nirve Switchblade, trying to remember when I bought it...2007?
4 - 1940 Shelby Supreme
5 - 1960 Schwinn Tornado
6 - 1977 Schwinn Speedster
Coming soon - 1962 Schwinn Corvette!
The Sears Murray is one of my regular rides, 71.5 miles so far, just need a new shifter cable for it and i will have it back on the road. It also needs a spoke in the front wheel and a new rear brake lever. The current one is all sorts of loose and flimsy.
The Fat Tire is a blast to ride, for those that don't know. Buttery smooth with a rich delicious paint job to match. I am scared to take it out for fear of messing it up somehow. But I do like to ride it to lunch and on small errands.
The Nirve Switchblade, the OG of the group. The gateway bike, if you will. I bought it and rode it to work when I lived in Naperville. I have hundreds of miles on it, undocumented. I want (need!) to get a speedometer on there, but the analog ones don't work with the fork. Might have to just go with a cheap computer.
The Shelby. I can't find a lot of info on it. It needs some cleaning and maintenance before I start riding it. I hope to have it ready by next summer. I might leave everything as is, paintwise, but just get it going. It reminds me of an old farm work truck.
1960 Schwinn Tornado. this one is unrideable, at the moment. I plan on restoring it and saving it for a (the?) future 'Mrs. Sloth'. If I could score a matching (at least the year anyway) men's Typhoon, I would be so stoked.
1977 Schwinn Speedster. Grabbed this for a friend that currently walks everywhere. In a small town, that is not so bad, but biking is quicker and more fun! Needs a little work to get it going, but not much.
