I'll ride there again some day. The Keyauwee Loops were built after I moved out of NC.

Have you ever ridden the MTB trails in the Uwharries?

I have, but not recently. There's a lot of trails closer, even about 14 miles out on Ft Bragg at Smith Lake.

I do like going to the Uwharries to do overnight bikepacking trips.

I used to swim at Smith Lake almost daily in the Summer of 1985. The JFKSWC Pre-Scuba troops would be there swimming in their dive fins and I'd motor right by them in my Churchill surf fins. The WTH looks I got out of that bunch were hilarious.
