Tandem and More

Made a deal on this pile for 25.00. Picking up near end of week. Huffy beach cruiser, bmx scooter, unknown banana bike and unknown tandem. Think the tandem may be a Columbia Twosome but not sure.Frame looks like one.

That old tandem is cool. Never owned one. Hope its a simple one speed I can stick some tires on and ride. The grandkids are already jumping 10 feet off the ground over it How does the tandem cranks work? Does the rear crank turn when the front crank turns? Wondering how thay are mated together..

Front crank should have a chainring like any other bike, back crank should have two rings.
One chain from front to back and another chain from back to rear wheel... if it's a single speed.

That's how the tandem my parents had when I was a kid worked.
