My mailman called Friday and apologized for waking me up. He said there were two skinny tire bikes on a a mailbox with a sign that said “free bikes”. He said that was Thursday Afternoon. I went right away and there was only one bike there, with a sign that said “free bikes”. I figured when he called that they would be 1980s big box 26 x 1 3/8 tired bikes. Perhaps I could use the frame to add on to my bike frame fence. This is a very rural area with a lot of gravel . Wow, the one that was still there was a 52 cm Schwinn Paramount, my size, perfect condition. The tires will have to be replaced for serious use, but for me they are fine. What did I miss, dang? It’s all Shimano group set, steel Tange double butted tubing with nice lugs. I want to know more about it.
